The Unity Hall Hotel has been a spiritual home to Sydney jazz and live music fans for more than 40 years. The warm atmosphere, fantastic live music, and modern approach of the pub, makes this historic landmark the perfect meeting place for a night out or a drink before dining in one of Balmain’s many local restaurants.
The Unity Hall is conveniently located close to Balmain wharf, providing easy access to the city and many major tourist attractions.

The Unity Hall Jazz Band have been in residency at the hotel since before 1970. During this time Gary Wolford has been the bandleader, and has collected wonderful stories and anecdotes of the Sydney Jazz scene and the colourful characters within its influence.
The UHJB are currently playing Sunday afternoons upstairs in The Workers Bar from 3pm, except for the first Sunday of each month when we have the Dan Barnett Big Band in residence. A bit of Jazz on a Sunday arvo? Beautiful!

Growler’s allow access to limited release and small batch craft beer products not available in package because they come straight from the keg.
